How to download TDS certificate in form 16B
Introduction-
Here we discuss about step by step guidance about how to download TDS certificate in Form 16B.
Every tax payer has liable to deducted TDS on sale of Immovable property (other than Agricultural Land), if the property value is greater than Rs. 50.00 lakhs. The buyer has to deduct TDS @ 1% (if seller having PAN) or 20% (if seller have no PAN) on the amount payable to the seller, the seller should be “Resident in India”.
The buyer has to provide TDS certificate in “form 16B” to the seller within 15 days from the day of filing Form 26QB.
The process how to download TDS certificate in Form 16B is as under-
- Go to link https://contents.tdscpc.gov.in/
- First, register as taxpayer (if you are not registered) otherwise login the above link, as the screen will display as under-
- Next, click on Login and select as Taxpayer/POA and fill the details i.e. User ID, Password or PAN, as the screen will display as under-
- Next, Select "Form 16B (For Buyer)" under "Downloads" menu.
- Next, enter the details pertaining to the property transaction for which Form 16B is to be requested. Enter the Assessment Year, Acknowledgment Number, PAN of Seller and click on "Proceed".
- Next, the confirmation screen will appear. Click on "Submit Request" to proceed.
- Next, the success message on submission of download request will appear.
- Next, click on "Requested Downloads" to download the requested files.
- Next, Select the request row and click on "HTTP download" button.
- Next, print the form 16B.
