Link PAN with Aadhaar
Introduction-
There are two ways through which we can link PAN and Aadhaar. These are:-
- Through the Income Tax e-filing website
- Sending an SMS
* Link PAN with Aadhaar Online through e-filing Website-
- Visit:- https://www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in the screen will appear as below:-
- Then, click on the button link Aadhar, shaded with yellow color in the screen as appear below-
- Then, screen will be displayed as below-
- Then, provide the PAN, Aadhaar number, and name as mentioned in the Aadhaar card as the screen display in column 3, as above
- Next, tick the square if only the birth year is mentioned in the Aadhaar card as the screen display in column 3, as above
- Next, enter the Captcha code. (Visually challenged users can request for an OTP instead of the captcha code. The OTP will be sent on the registered mobile number)
- Then, click on the 'Link Aadhaar' button as the screen display in column 3, as above
- Then, the message will be displayed as successfully linked
* Link PAN with Aadhaar through Sending an SMS –
Step 1: Type UIDPAN<Space><12-digit Aadhaar><Space><10-digit PAN> on your mobile
Step 2: Send it to 567678 or 56161
Example- If your Aadhaar number is 354089925547 and your PAN is ALSPE2536S, you have to type UIDPAN 354089925547 ALSPE2536S and send the message to either 567678 or 56161
