If I am investing some amount in EPF and some amount in PPF, can i claim tax deductions on both investments made?

Yes, both investments are covered under section 80C of Income tax act. In case of EPF, only your own portion of contribution is allowed under section 80C. The maximum amount under section 80C is allowed up to Rs. 1.50 lakh in any financial year.
